Katzeyes Square.jpg
KatzEyes

We are three retired guys who enjoy melodic music from all decades.  We are very much 'middle of the road'.

Katzeyes line up is Mike on drums, Dave on guitar and John on guitar and harmonica, with all contributing to vocals. For this event Tim will join us on keyboard along with other guests.

Music has long been an interest for us and retirement offered the opportunity to commit more time to it. Initially, Dave and John started jamming together with Mike joining later. We  have performed local gigs for local residential homes and interest groups - all proceeds going to charity.

Typically we play traditional and contemporary folk, country & western and pop over the decades from the 50's to the noughties. Our influences are wide ranging and include Mark Knopfler, Joe Brown, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, the Spinners, Roger Whittaker, the Shadows, and many others. Anything melodic gets our thumbs up. We particularly enjoy the challenge of working up a new number that stretches us.

We always aim to tailor our playlist to the audiences,  if the audience is happy, we are happy. It seems to be working as we do get asked back.

We are available for hire and are happy to use any proceeds for the benefit of a charity.

Buster Jack Square.jpg
Buster Jack

Buster Jack is a group of six musicians based in Kenn, near Clevedon.  Formed just over a year ago our members have an eclectic mix of musical tastes.  As a result, the group’s music is wide ranging from The Cult, through to The Stereophonics, and the gentler sounds of The Eagles, Jeff Lynne and Neil Young. We have expanded our repertoire since getting together, and have recently been working on our own material.

So why Buster Jack? Well, we rehearse at a lovely house where the resident pet is a blind Jack Russell called Buster.  He became our first fan, and so the group was named after him.

The organisers of this evening’s event are very good friends of one of our members, who was aware of the difficult start their granddaughter had to her life.  So we are delighted to be here tonight playing for you in support of the Neo Natal Unit at Southmead  Hospital.

Thank you for having us and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
